Wherever you’re starting there’s a next step for you.

We’re eager to know you, and for you to feel known here. You’re welcome, just as you are.

We want to help you find your place. Here are a few suggested next steps to get started.

01

Get Started

The best way to start is over a cup of coffee.

Reach out to Charlie Dinsmore, our Connections Director. He’d love to grab coffee, answer your questions, and help you find your footing here.

Come To A Gathering

Come to an event designed for those who are new, or find a way to serve alongside others.

There are two great, intentional ways to join us for an event if you’re new: Newcomers Lunch, held quarterly right after Sunday service, or Starting Point, held at a local brewery as a relaxed way to connect. You can also explore opportunities to join in our mission to serve Durham.

03

Jump Into Group Life

Our hope is for everyone at Christ Central to be part of a group.

Joining a group is one of the easiest ways we make our church feel smaller. We invite you to join whichever one fits where you are.

Emotionaly Healthy Spirituality

Coming Spring 2027

This is our foundational course. It's the one we hope every person who calls Christ Central home will eventually take. It explores the connection between emotional and spiritual maturity and introduces practices that help us attend to God's presence.

The next session starts next spring, so mark it on your calendar and jump into other pathways of group life in the meantime.

04

Go Deeper

Confessional Life Groups are a long-term community.

New this fall.

For those ready for a deeper commitment, Confessional Life Groups are a long-term community built around confession, honesty, and embodying our spiritual practices together—for the long haul.

05

Pursue Membership

Membership is belonging on mission.

Membership is a way of saying yes to full commitment to this community and to what God is doing here at Christ Central.

Our Shared Commitment
Belonging starts with a first step. But over time, our hope is that every person who calls Christ Central home pursues these six things:
Personal growth in grace with the Lord
Corporate worship on Sundays
Being part of some form of group life
Serving inside or outside the church
Giving of time, talent, and treasure
Pursuing inclusion through a significant relationship with someone not like you
