This is a cross-ministry committee composed of members of Circles of Support, Local Mercy Board, and Christ Central staff who seek to communicate and encourage fertile opportunities for our congregation to listen to, serve alongside, or celebrate with our neighbors throughout the Durham Metro area.
It is our desire to not only be inwardly inviting, but we also want to be outwardly present. Our vision for the upcoming year is to be present at the events, service opportunities, evenings of art, and places of public discourse being held by our neighbors throughout Durham.
Listening to our neighbors is an important practice in participating within our community. Join the City Engagement Team every first and third Monday night at 7pm at Durham City Hall to listen to the bi-weekly public City Council Meetings.
Let’s attend the North Carolina state fair as a congregation on Friday October 25th. Christ Central shirts layered with a fall twist are encouraged.
