Volunteer at Christ Central
Volunteers are a vital part of our church community. God has given each of us unique gifts and abilities, and there are many different ways to serve. Check out the descriptions of all our volunteer roles below!
-
Usher
The ushers will welcome visitors at the entrance of the church, hand them a bulletin, and offer them assistance in finding a seat, Central Kids, or restrooms. During the service, they pass offering baskets and assist in serving communion. At the end of the service, they greet at the entrance again and help to clean the sanctuary.
-
Balcony Usher
The balcony usher receives attenders as they arrive in the balcony, hand them a bulletin, and offer them assistance in finding a seat or restrooms. During the service, they pass the offering baskets and assist in serving communion. At the end of the service, they help clean the balcony.
-
Connect Table
This volunteer serves at the Connect Table and offers resources and means of connections for anyone interested. They should also be able to direct to restrooms, children’s classrooms, etc. After the service, they return to the table to continue to greet people.
-
Signage Setup/Teardown
This volunteer either sets up the exterior signage before the service or tears it down after the service. They also set up the New Guest tent and table and heater (when needed).
-
Slides
The Slides volunteer works with the video team to run the slides for the slide presentation in the sanctuary as well as for the video stream. No knowledge of ProPresenter is needed, but a fair amount of familiarity with technology is helpful.
-
Video (First Service Only)
The Video volunteer works with the video team to man the camera in the sanctuary. No experience is needed, but a fair amount of familiarity with technology is helpful.
-
Audio Assistant Technician (First Service Only)
This volunteer will be trained to set up sound and recording equipment, make adjustments, test the equipment and assist with recordings or sound production. The main role during the worship service is monitoring the live stream audio feed by mixing, muting and un-muting microphones as needed.
