Advent at Christ Central
The King is coming! Jesus Christ has come and will come again. This is the hope of the Church whom He purchased with His blood. Jesus’ coming is the eager expectation and desire of His people. It is our joy because He is our treasure and greatest good. This is the theme of “Advent,” formed from a Latin word meaning “coming” or “arrival.” It’s the traditional celebration of the first advent of Jesus in humility and the anxious awaiting of His second advent in glory. The season is a time for remembering and rejoicing, watching and waiting. December 1st marks the beginning of the Advent Season. Advent candles, wreath, and devotionals are available at the Connect Table each Sunday! We are excited to celebrate this special season together! Find instructions on using your Advent candles below!
Advent Guide
This year we are encouraging everyone to participate in the season of Advent by picking up a copy of The Newborn King, a daily devotional from Langham Partnership, this daily devotional features 25 authors from the global church reflecting on the many biblical descriptions of Jesus. We are hopeful that this devotional will prepare each of you to share the joy of all creation that comes with the arrival of Christ! Copies of the devotional are available at the Connect Table outside of the church each Sunday morning!
